Jaguars set sail for the 15th annual IUPUI Regatta

Jaguars filled the sidewalks and water of the Indianapolis canal on Saturday, Sept. 30 for the 15th annual Regatta, IUPUI's beloved campus tradition. While the half-mile canoe relay is the main attraction, the action in the water is only part of the celebration. Regatta Week includes several land-based events exemplifying the energy and school spirit on IUPUI's urban campus.

Battleships

Battleships is a life-size version of the classic board game. Teams of IUPUI students compete to sink each other's Regatta canoes to the bottom of the IUPUI Natatorium pool. The event raises money for Jagathon, IUPUI's Dance Marathon.

Flick n’ Float

During Flick n' Float, students have the opportunity to hop in the Natatorium pool, float around and watch a movie on the big screen.

S'mores and Oars

IUPUI Housing and Residence Life welcomes students and their families to the CROF (Campus Recreation Outdoor Facility) for an evening of roasted marshmallows, games and an outdoor movie.

15th annual Regatta

The central event of Regatta is a half-mile canoe relay competition involving teams of up to six IUPUI students, faculty, staff and alumni. The race takes place between the Indiana State Museum and Military Park, with the start being at Blackford Street and the exchange point in the Ohio Street Basin.

Regatta Festival

For the land-lovers, the Regatta Festival in Military Park features a plethora of events from a dog costume contest to the new Family Frenzy competitions for those without paddles.
