Homecoming week in Bloomington

Backdropped by a rich tapestry of fall foliage, it was an exciting week to be back in Bloomington as the community celebrated Homecoming Week 2023. The week started on Sunday, Oct. 15 as students gathered to paint the windows of local businesses and continued with a variety of events from a night of IU Student Foundation bike races to a special Live From Bloomington concert at The Bluebird. On Friday, Oct. 20, the community geared up and gathered on Woodlawn Avenue for the 101st Homecoming parade followed by the annual basketball season tip-off event, Hoosier Hysteria, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The week culminated with the IU football team hosting the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
